CIOFF® Estonian Youth Commission

CIOFF^® Estonian Youth Commission (EYC) was founded on March 8th 2002 on the event dedicated to the 10th birthday of the Estonian National Folklore Council. As internal regulations constitute, EYC is a working group for youth under the guidance of Estonian National Folklore Council – CIOFF^® Estonian National Section. EYC has a voting right in CIOFF^® Estonia’s annual meeting.

The aim of EYC is:

to acquire and collect knowledge about Estonian folklore;
to develop and support folklore activity in children and youth;
to represent Estonian youth movement in international arena;
to increase the consciousness about cultural heritage in Estonian society;
to assure the continuity of Estonian folklore movement.
